2025 8th International Conference on Mechanical, Electrical and Material Application (MEMA 2025) was successfully held in Shenyang, China from March 28 to 30, 2025!

MEMA 2025 is hosted by Northeastern University, organized by the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Northeastern University, co-organized by Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang Ligong University and AEIC Academic Exchange Information Center. Our goal is to explore the latest advancements in mechanical, electrical and material application, sharing knowledge and insights that will push the boundaries of our fields.


OPENING CEREMONY

On the morning of the 29th, the opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Yu Fuxiao, Dean of the School of International Education of Northeastern University.

In his opening speech, Professor Wang Qiang, Vice President of Northeastern University, welcomed the guests on behalf of the university and introduced the long history, academic advantages and international layout of Northeastern University. He emphasized the importance of technological innovation in the fields of machinery, electricity and materials to social progress, called for strengthening international cooperation to meet global challenges, and hoped that the conference would stimulate innovation and promote the development of the industry through interdisciplinary exchanges. Fellow of Chinese Metal Society, former director of Metal Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zuo Liang of Northeastern University, and Professor Qin Gaowu, Vice President of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology attended the meeting.

PLENARY LECTYRE

Professor Pei Wenli from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Northeastern University presided over the report session of the conference. The conference was honored to invite Associate Professor Qi Teng from Akita National University in Japan, Professor Yang Bo from Tohoku University, Professor Ali Reza Kamali from Tohoku University/Cambridge University, Professor Yoshimura Tetsuo from Akita National University in Japan and Professor Liu Tie from Tohoku University to give speeches, which laid a high-level academic tone for the conference. Associate Professor Qi Teng reported the latest research progress of alternating magnetic microscope, which can achieve high spatial and temporal resolution of magnetic measurement near the sample surface and meet the measurement of wide magnetic field frequency range. Professor Yang Bo introduced in detail the related achievements of λ-Ti3O5, a photothermal conversion material with wide absorption spectrum and high absorption rate, published in the journal Nature. Professor Ali Reza Kamali shared the key design strategies and important achievements of silicon anode materials used to solve the storage capacity of lithium-ion batteries. Professor Yoshimura reported the development of high-performance ferromagnetic thin films and high-performance low-loss magnetic devices. Professor Liu Tie reported the electromagnetic field adjustment technology for steel continuous casting and liquid metal forming, as well as the research results of a complete set of electromagnetic swirl nozzle equipment and a high-temperature metal melt performance measurement system under strong magnetic field.

KEYNOTE SPEECH

On the afternoon of 29th, the meeting invited nearly 20 experts from Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Northeastern University, University of Auckland, Shenyang University of Technology, shenyang ligong university and Liaoning University of Engineering Technology, and presented a number of innovative achievements in two sub-fields. Experts and scholars have shared their research, reported their achievements and conducted in-depth exchanges in many advanced mechanical, electrical and material application fields, such as the design and preparation of electromagnetic materials and first-principles calculation, the simulation study of exchange bias effect of double-layer membrane materials, the elastic-thermal effect of shape memory alloys, the preparation and application of high-purity alumina, the key role of microstructure in dynamic recrystallization of hot-rolled thick plates, and the design and application of catalytic materials for electrification conversion.

PARALLEL SESSION

On the morning of the 30th, the conference set up two sub-venues. Experts and scholars from more than 30 universities, research institutes and enterprises, including Northeastern University, Jilin University, Harbin Institute of Technology, China University of Mining and Technology, Shandong University, Liaoning University of Engineering Technology, Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute and Aerospace Dongfanghong Satellite Co., Ltd., shared their research progress in the fields of material design, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering through oral reports, showing the scientific research vitality of the new generation.

AWARD CEREMONY

In addition, the meeting commended outstanding young scholars, and selected four "excellent papers" and six "reports of outstanding young scholars" to encourage young scholars to continue to deepen their scientific research.

MEMA 2025 provides an open communication platform for scholars around the world and promotes academic cooperation and technological transformation. The topics of the meeting are closely related to the needs of the industry and provide an important reference for future technological development. MEMA series conferences will continue to promote the cross-integration of mechanical, electrical and materials disciplines and help global scientific and technological innovation. We look forward to meeting again at the next session to create more breakthrough results.
